Michael Chertoff: New Group Advisers to Help Clients Address Threat Landscape

Chertoff Group logo Executive MosaicW. Ross Ashley III, Cathy Handford, Reginald Hyde, Allison Boyd Travis and Mary DeRosa have joined The Chertoff Group as senior advisers.

The five appointees will aim to help complement the organization’s subject-matter experience in defense, intelligence, homeland security, analytics, big data and cybersecurity, The Chertoff Group said Monday.

“Our trusted experience and wide-reaching network enables us to consistently identify key issues for consideration and strategic recommendations to support our clients as they face an increasingly complex security environment, ” said Michael Chertoff, chairman of The Chertoff Group.

Ashley serves as executive director of the National Fusion Center Association, where he represents the interests of fusion centers under the Department of Homeland Security.

Handford, a more than 30-year national security market veteran, most recently served as a sector director for Northrop Grumman‘s (NYSE: NOC) cyber initiatives group.

Hyde has served as the Defense Department‘s deputy undersecretary for intelligence and security and as a senior operations officer at the Central Intelligence Agency.

Travis has previously worked as policy analyst at The Tauri Group and as counselor to the DHS secretary.

De Rosa is a distinguished visitor from practice at Georgetown Law School and has previously served as deputy assistant and deputy counsel to the president and a legal adviser to the White House National Security Council.
