Juniper to Buy Network Mgmt Tech Supplier WANDL; Daniel Hua Comments

CybersecurityJuniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR) has agreed to purchase network design and management software provider WANDL Inc. for $60 million.

Juniper seeks to grow its technology portfolio and experience in helping customers manage traffic performance and multi-network resources through the acquisition, Juniper said Monday.

The purchase is scheduled to close next month after customary closing conditions have been met.

Daniel Hua, senior vice president and general manager for Juniper’s routing business unit, said Juniper and WANDL have previously worked together to address organizations’ cloud computing and mobility needs.

Dave Wang, WANDL president, said the companies aim to jointly build network architectures and help enterprises improve operational efficiency.

WANDL’s team will join the Juniper OpenLab to develop network-integrated applications once the transaction closes.
