Boeing to Engineer B-1 Weapon Systems for $750M

Boeing Logo w-borderBoeing (NYSE: BA) has been awarded a $750 million contract to perform engineering work on weapon systems for the U.S. Air Force‘s fleet of B-1 Lancer supersonic bombers.

The first delivery order under the firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee, time and material, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is worth $21, 377, 960 and falls under fiscal year 2014 operations and maintenance funds, the Defense Department said Monday.

Work will occur in Oklahoma City through Dec. 31, 2014.

Engineering work will encompass design, maintenance, structures, flight systems, avionics, software and weapons.
