Avaya Inc. has been selected to connect the Suez Canal Authority’s communications system with a company platform in an effort to centralize the organization’s network and infrastructure.
Suez Canal will move its communications ports into Avaya’s Aura Communication Manager system in order to consolidate the network with technology for finding employees and coordinating text, email and voice services, Avaya said Thursday.
Mohamed Hindy, country manager of Avaya, said the technology is being implemented to help the Suez Canal Authority connect employees and customers.
Avaya also intends to upgrade its legacy system and the Suez Canal will use the communications model to handle operations.
The migration covers Avaya’s technology services intended to help enhance technology operations across the Suez Canal networks.
