GTRI to Deploy Veterans Affairs Voice Comm Net; Barbara Beckner Comments

GTRI logo_GovConWireGlobal Technology Resources Inc. has won a potential two-year task order to help the Department of Veterans Affairs implement a new infrastructure for the VA’s enterprise voice communications network.

The VA intends to deploy a new unified communications infrastructure based on voice, data and Internet service technologies, GTRI said Tuesday.

Barbara Beckner, vice president federal programs at GTRI, said the company will lead the work to upgrade the VA’s voice communications infrastructure, systems and equipment.

GTRI won the order through a General Services Administration Schedule 70 contract and will be responsible for operating, administering and maintaining the network for the VA.
