The Defense Department and two service branches are planning to launch three contracting vehicles in early 2014 that could be worth up to $8 billion for all awardees, the Washington Post reported Monday.
Ashley Bergander, a Deltek research manager, writes the three contract vehicles will come from the Pentagon, the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army.
A DoD vehicle covering IT and technical support services could be worth up to $6 billion over six years for both large and small businesses.
Deltek estimates the Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Atlantic will award up to $990 million over up to five years for routers and switches.
Finally, an Army counter-improvised explosive device technology contract could be worth of $937 million over up to five years.
