TCC Wins Radio Encryption Tech Order

ManpackRadioCommunications systems supplier Technical Communications Corp. (Nasdaq: TCCO) has won an estimated $870, 000 order for a radio encryption tool from Datron World Communications.

TCC will provide its DSP 9000 Handset and DSP 9000 Implant Board systems to Datron under an original equipment manufacturer relationship and Afghanistan’s military is acquiring the technology, TCC said Thursday.

U.S., NATO and Afghan forces use the DSP 9000 universal secure radio encryption family to connect with each other across theaters during tactical operations.

The DSP 9000 was deployed in Afghanistan more than five years ago, TCC says.
