Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a potential $236, 663, 164 contract to perform design and engineering work on a U.S. Navy sensor netting system intended for anti-air warfare.
Cooperative Engagement Capability systems are designed to extract and distribute sensor-derived information for all participating CEC units, the Defense Department said Thursday.
The company received $6, 496, 632 from the Navy’s fiscal year 2013 funding sources for defense procurement and research, development, test and evaluation.
Work under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract will occur in St. Petersburg, Fla. through September 2014.
