He will lead initiatives to help clients identify new applications and work to help GSIS clients learn about SAFETY Act protection, GSIS said Oct. 3.
GSIS’ other partners include David Aguilar, former acting commissioner Customs and Border Protection; Mark Sullivan, former Secret Service director; Noah Kroloff, former DHS chief of staff; and Dennis Burke, a former U.S. Attorney.
“Paul has been on the cutting edge of security technologies at the highest levels of our homeland, defense and intelligence communities, ” Aguilar said.
Benda has served as director of DHS’ Advanced Research Projects Agency and as acting deputy under secretary of the department’s science and technology directorate.
He has also served as chief of staff for the under secretary of science and technology.
