Lockheed Picks Arkansas Plant for Army, Marine Corps Vehicle Production

JLTVLockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will produce a prototype land vehicle for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps at the company’s manufacturing complex in Camden, Ark.

The Army and Marine Corps intend to replace their Humvee vehicles under the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle program, under which Lockheed and BAE Systems have partnered to build a prototype, Lockheed said Tuesday.

That work is occurring under the program’s technology development and engineering and manufacturing development phases.

Camden also houses manufacturing of High Mobility Artillery Rocket System launchers, Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets, Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missiles and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense ground vehicles.
