Engility Holdings (NYSE: EGL) has won two contracts worth $18.9 million combined to work with the U.S. Marine Corps on integrating hardware for the branch’s integration technology communication interface hubs.

Both single-award fixed-price contracts were awarded by the U.S. Army‘s Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center, Engility announced Monday.

Tony Smeraglinolo, Engility president and CEO, said the company intends to help the armed forces maintain their competitive advantage by performing information technology modernization work.

The company will help the Corps’ Communications Electronic Equipment Maintenance Complex acquire, fabricate and integrate hardware that works to support hubs used for communication electronics maintenance systems, IT infrastructure and network data links.

Each internal appointment module is designed to provide IT and communications protocols and a plug-and-play feature to Marine units deployed in the field.
