MITRE to Help Air Force Manage Acquisitions, Programs for $1.7B

Mitre logoMITRE Corp. will provide systems engineering and integration support to the U.S. Air Force for ceiling and non-ceiling programs under a $1, 724, 333, 098.

The cost-reimbursable contract also includes $741, 988 in fiscal year 2014 foreign military sales funds to support 21 countries, the Defense Department said Friday.

MITRE will work with the Air Force to shape and carry out functions such as enterprise system engineering, architecture development, technical strategy, program strategy and program execution.

Areas of work covered under the contract include acquisitions and systems analysis, electronic systems, technologies, information technologies, computing technologies and information security.

Work will occur in Bedford, Mass. through Sept. 30, 2014.
