Jacqueline Hinman, formerly president of CH2M HILL‘s international business organization, will succeed Lee McIntire as CEO of the international consulting firm on Jan. 1, 2014.

McIntire will continue to serve as chairman of the board after he steps down from the chief executive role, CH2M HILL said Monday.

Chad Holliday, lead outside director, said McIntire worked to help CH2M HILL grow the firm’s revenue from $3 billion per year to the current $6 billion.

Hinman joined the company in 1988 and has held management roles such as executive of the firm’s London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games construction projects.

McIntire became CEO in 2009 and the company was listed on Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” lists several times during his tenure, the company said.

“The board is delighted that Lee will continue as chairman and will focus on strategic business development and international strategies, ” adds Holliday.
