Bill Posnett has been appointed a senior engineering scientist at Sabre Systems and will oversee system design and implementation work for U.S. Naval Air Systems Command projects.
The 30-year Navy veteran has experience in strategic planning, fleet operations, weapon systems acquisition and engineering functions related to fixed- and rotary-wing platforms, Sabre said Thursday.
Glen Ives, Sabre group vice president for the mid-Atlantic region, said Posnett brings procurement, research, development and testing experience to the company.
Posnett held positions such as executive director of operations and principal military deputy of NAVAIR’s research and engineering group during his active duty career.
He also oversaw civilian engineering work for the command’s H-60 and H-53 fleet, anti-submarine, assault and special mission programs.
