Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) has won a potential $17 million task order to help the Indian Health Service create a new database for managing dental records.
The one-year project includes four 12-month options and seeks to support administrative processes and organizational operations throughout the transition as IHS provides medical assistance to Alaska Natives and Native Americans, SAIC said Tuesday.
“We look forward to continuing our support of helping the agency achieve its goal of improving access to and the quality of care, ” said Steve Comber, SAIC senior vice president and group general manager.
IHS is an organization of the Department of Health and Human Services that provides healthcare services to registered members of 566 Alaskan and Native American tribes.
SAIC says it won the order under the Alliant contracting vehicle, managed by the General Services Administration.
