SAIC Finalizes $85M Sale of Tysons Corner HQ

SAIC Logo_ExecutiveBizScience Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) will sell its 18-acre Tyson’s, Va. campus , which served as the company’s headquarters, for $85 million to The Meridian Group, the Washington Business Journal reported Monday.

Daniel Sernovitz writes the transaction includes an option for Meridian to acquire a series of additional land parcels worth $225 million from SAIC.

SAIC will transfer employees from the campus’ three buildings to one office building and expects to complete the move by January 2014, according to the report.

Meridian plans to renovate the acquired buildings, which are situated next to the Greensboro metro station which is currently under construction, Sernovitz says.
