Rick Kelley to Head Smartronix Cloud Architect Team; Robert Groat Comments

Smartronix-logoRick Kelley has joined Smartronix as the new technology director in charge of growing the company’s cloud computing business.

Kelley has spent nearly decades as a designer and architect of technology products that aim to simplify business processes, Smartronix said Tuesday.

He will lead a team of architects that aim to develop and implement cloud offerings.

Robert Groat, Smartronix executive vice president and chief technology officer, said Kelley will work to help the company scale its cloud computing practice and further build its cloud managed services portfolio.

Kelley most recently served as at Digicon, where he managed enterprise offerings for government agencies aiming to use bioinformatics, green solutions, cloud services, cyber security and other emerging technologies.

He has worked with the departments of Agriculture and Defense, Federal Aviation Administration and National Institutes of Health.
