BMC Software Buys KineticGlue

BMC-Software-LogoBMC Software has acquired Bangalore, India-based social network KineticGlue Online Communities for an undisclosed amount, VCCircle reported Friday.

Sainul Abudheen writes the KineticGlue platform works to help separate teams collaborate online, as well as manage employees, documents and tasks.

The company, founded by Akansa Capital founder and former Wipro CEO Vivek Paul in 2010, currently serves 10, 000 clients worldwide, including Dell India and L&T, the report said.

KineticGlue previously acquired Bangalore-based Injoos Web Solutions, which provides social networking tools, reports VCCircle.

Abudheen writes BMC Software also helps small and medium enterprises and information technology companies manage their services and cloud applications.

The Houston, Texas-based company, which reported a net profit of $562 million in fiscal 2012, has been a partner of Accenture, Cisco, Salesforce.com, Dell, RedHat and NetApp, VCCircle reports.
