BAE Systems and a Poland-based aviation company have partnered to provide training, modifications and technical support for the Polish Air Force’s C-130 aircraft.
The contract with Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 2 S.A. contains five base years and two renewal years, BAE said Monday.
“This agreement advances our strategy to partner with top international companies such as WZL-2, ” said Floyd McConnell, BAE vice president of integrated aviation solutions.
Piotr Rutkowski, a spokesperson for WZL-2, said the partnership could possibly extend to F-16 fighter jets.
BAE said it maintains a portfolio of sustainment and upgrade services for the C-130, F-16 and other platforms that require newer capabilities and/or extended lifespan.
