Unisys (NYSE: UIS) and seven other cybersecurity services providers have joined a NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) collaborative program that aims to develop technologies for government agencies to mitigate cyber threats.
NetApp’s U.S. public sector cyber alliance program also seeks to build partnerships and interoperability of cyber platforms based on NetApp virtualization, storage and big data offerings, the company said Wednesday.
Mark Weber, NetApp president of U.S. Public Sector, said cross-collaboration between technology companies is important so that the government receives the best offerings available.
Other alliance members include Cybertap, Glimmerglass, Merlin International, nPulse Technologies, Splunk, Tripwire and Cummings Engineering unit SAIFE.
