STG logoSTG Inc. has won a contract to provide the U.S. Army with tracking system support for noncombatant evacuation operations in South Korea.

The two-year project comes under the Army’s Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services contract, STG said Tuesday.

“STG recognizes the paramount importance and ‘no-fail’ mission of Eighth U.S. Army’s NEO Tracking System, ” said Bob Phoebus, senior vice president of business development and strategic planning at STG.

“The importance of the NEO Tracking System readiness is a real-world mission to support personnel and families displaced and affected by tragic events, ” he added.

The company said it plans to leverage its management processes to carry out the contract, which will also involve related user training.

“Growth in the Pacific theater of operations has been a long-time goal of STG, ” said Simon Lee, STG chairman and CEO.

“This partnership with the Eighth Army succeeds in assuring we are part of fully supporting their ‘fight tonight mission, ’” he said.
