Rockwell Collins Wins Int’l Contracts for Satellite Terminals; Mike Jones Comments

Rockwells Collins logo_GovConWireRockwell Collins expects to deliver around 90 satellite terminals for communications and data transmission purposes under foreign military sales contracts from the U.S. Air Force.

The contracts are meant to provide Belgium’s defense ministry and an unknown Asia-Pacific region client with SWE-DISH CCT120 Suitcase and CCT200 Fly-Away models, Rockwell Collins said Wednesday.

Replaceable components were installed on the CCT120 and CCT200 terminals to meet the logistical needs of customers, said Mike Jones, Rockwell Collins communication and navigation products vice president and general manager.

Jones added that a goal of the company is to offer products to match typical terminal sizes used for satellite communication devices.

According to Rockwell Collins, the CCT120 was reconfigured to include an antenna system and parts that are compatible with other SWE-DISH CCT equipment while the CCT200 was designed to feature the CommuniCase Technology.
