LexisNexis Absorbs Elsevier’s Clinical Analytics Business; Lee Rivas Comments

LexisNexisLogoLexisNexis has moved to expand its identity and fraud analytics services with an agreement to merge Elsevier‘s clinical analytics business unit into its healthcare division.

LexisNexis, Elsevier’s sister company under the Reed Elsevier Group, will absorb MEDai to help customers coordinate healthcare services, manage population health, enhance clinical results and minimize fraud, waste and abuse risks,  LexisNexis said July 12.

Lee Rivas, LexisNexis Risk Solutions CEO for the public sector and healthcare, said the combined group will assist clients in providing health services and meeting Affordable Care Act requirements.

In 2012, LexisNexis expanded its FWA detection, recovery and prevention capabilities with the acquisition of EDIWatch.
