Silver Lake Vet Todd Morgenfeld Joins HP, Helped Negotiate Dell Buyout

HP logo_GovConWireTodd Morgenfeld, a former executive at Silver Lake Partners, has joined Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) as a senior vice president and will help with the company’s mobility strategy, CNN Money reported Thursday.

Dan Primack writes Morgenfeld was previously involved in negotiations surrounding Silver Lake’s offer to acquire Dell (NASDAQ: DELL).

Silver Lake and Michael Dell intend to acquire the PC manufacturer for $24.4 billion.

Morgenfeld served as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs’ technology group before joining Silver Lake in 2004.

His name has been taken off Silver Lake’s website and not yet been added to HP’s directory, according to the report.
