Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. has agreed to buy managed security services provider Solutionary in a move aimed to grow NTT’s cybersecurity and information and communications technology portfolios.
Solutionary is intended to operate as a subsidiary when the deal closes in the third quarter of NTT’s 2013 fiscal year, NTT said Monday.
NTT intends to integrate Solutionary’s security analytics platform with its ICT services and security portfolio.
Hiroo Unoura, NTT president and CEO, said the acquisition aims to address the growing need for a preemptive approach to cyber threats and malicious attacks.
Unoura added the partnership will also work to help companies fulfill internal security policies and external compliance requirements.
