Jeannie Hilger Promoted to Northrop Network Comm Systems VP

Jeannie HilgerJeannie Hilger, formerly acting vice president Northrop Grumman‘s network communications systems business, has assumed that VP role on a full-time basis.

She was appointed acting VP of the business in November and prior to that served as director of enterprise engineering programs for seven months, Northrop said Wednesday.

Hilger reports to Mike Twyman, sector VP and general manager of the defense systems division, and oversees programs for military communications and security networks.

She will also lead the company’s airborne gateways and support systems programs for global clients with network-centric defense and homeland security operations.

Hilger joined Northrop in 1985 and has led projects for ground combat systems such as the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below system and the Blue Force Tracking Global Network Operations Center.

She is a recipient of the Northrop Grumman Chairman’s Award for Innovation and Project Technologist of the Year award.

Hilger graduated from Capella University with a bachelor’s degree in business management, with specialization on leadership.
