James Cotter, who joined Kratos Defense and Security Solutions (NASDAQ: KTOS) in December 2007, has been appointed senior vice president of the government solutions sector within the public safety and security division.
He will work with senior leadership to research and identify business opportunities in the security markets within the departments of Defense and Homeland Security, Kratos said Monday.
Ben Goodwin, division president, said Cotter brings experience in strategic planning, market research and analysis and business development to his new position.
Cotter joined Kratos upon the company’s acquisition of Haverstick/DTI and has worked for that company and Kratos for more than 23 years.
While at Haverstick/DTI, he served as VP of operations and strategy and has also held program and project manager positions supporting Navy clients.
