Don Perkins Named Huntington Ingalls Division Contracts, Pricing VP; Tom Stiehle Comments

Don Perkins, formerly contracts director at Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) from 2002 to 2009, has rejoined the company as vice president of contracts and pricing for its Ingalls Shipbuilding division.

Perkins will oversee functions such as pricing and estimating, change orders, proposal development and contractual risk mitigation, Hungtington Ingalls said Monday.

Tom Stiehle, Ingalls’ chief financial officer and vice president of business management, said holds 34 years of experience in shipbuilding and managing contracts.

Prior to this new role, Perkins served as corporate director of contracts for Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and also as sector director of contract administration for the company’s electronic systems sector.

He currently chairs the Aerospace Industries Association’s procurement techniques committee and is a member of the National Contract Management Association and the National Defense Industrial Association.
