SSAI-BAE Team Wins $1.5B Army Logistics IDIQ

ArmyLogisticsA team comprising of Support Systems Associates Inc. and BAE Systems has won a potential $1.5 billion contract to develop and apply aircraft modifications and provide logistics support to the U.S. Army, Avionics Intelligence reports.

Courtney Howard writes the five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract could also include work for aviation platforms supporting other U.S. agencies and to fulfill foreign military sales agreements.

SSAI is the prime contractor for the Army Logistics Support Facilities Management Activity program and BAE is the subcontractor.

Work will occur at SSAI’s future Huntsville, Ala. facility, as well as BAE’s hangar in Albertville and offices in Huntsville.
