Northrop Wins $555M to Update AF Global Hawks

NorthropLogoNorthrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has won a potential $555.6 million contract to manage configurations and data for the U.S. Air Force‘s Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle fleet.

The Air Force will issue delivery or task orders to Northrop under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Department said Monday.

Orders will include management services for program, business and technical areas including engineering.

Northrop will also perform studies and analyses, test and evaluate the UAVs and provide design and development services, as well as integrated logistics support.

Work will occur in San Diego through May 14, 2015 and the Air Force will obligate fiscal year 2012 and 2013 funds for individual task or delivery orders.

The company is also maintaining the Air Force’s Global Hawks under a separate $434 million contract.
