Ken Coleman, former CEO of Thales Group‘s components business, has been appointed vice president and general manager of the company’s avionics services business in the Americas.
Coleman started his new position April 29 and holds 25 years of experience in global sales management of radio frequency and microwave applications, Thales said May 8.
He served as VP for sales and marketing at Antenna Research Associates and as GM for the company’s Pembroke, Mass. facility prior to joining Thales.
Coleman has also served as VP for sales at Zentrix and managed its officers in the U.S. Asia and Europe.
As a consultant to Loral Terracom, he established sales training programs intended to help the company respond to corporate and customer requirements.
Currently, he is in his eighth year as a adjunct facility member at the New Hampshire-based Franklin Pierce College School of Business and has taught management, sales and marketing courses.
