Exelis Wins $125M for Navy Jammer Systems

ExelisLogoITT Exelis (NYSE: XLS) has won a $125, 724, 964 contract modification to manufacture and deliver jammer systems for the U.S. Navy‘s fleet of F/A-18 aircraft.

The award exercises an option under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price production contract, the Defense Department said Thursday.

Exelis will produce 62 AN/ALQ-214(V)4 On-Board Jammer Systems under lot 10 of full rate production through November 2015.

All contract funds are being obligated for the award from the Navy’s fiscal year 2012 and 2013 aircraft procurement funds.

No funding will expire at the end of this fiscal year, the Pentagon said.
