Boeing Wins $25M for Poseidon Logistics

BoeingLogoBoeing (NYSE: BA) has won a $27.5 million contract modification to continue providing logistics services to the U.S. Navy for its P-8A Poseidon fleet.

This award modifies a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract and all contract funds are being obligated at the time of award, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

The Navy is allocating its fiscal year 2012 aircraft procurement funds for the award.

Work will support low rate initial production of the Poseidon, a multi-mission maritime reconnaissance plane.
