Wyle logo_GovConWireWyle Laboratories has won a $24 million contract to help the U.S. Navy acquire and test electromagnetic systems for compatibility with Naval Air Systems Command aircraft, weapons and ground support systems.

The company will also help the Navy’s electromagnetic environmental effects division evaluate aircraft, weapons, equipment, training and avionics systems, the company said Monday.

Engineering and acquisition support work started in March at Patuxent River, Md.

Stu Ashton, vice president for Wyle’s aerospace group, said the company will perform engineering services that aim to ensure naval systems comply with test specifications and warfighter requirements.

Contract work also covers support services for naval aviation units under NAVAIR’s electromagnetic interference corrective action program and for electromagnetic environmental effects research initiatives.
