Sameer Ramchandani, a former director at Optimus, and Tom Banks, a former business development director at IntelliDyne, have joined Smartronix as strategic program directors in that company’s cloud computing business.
Ramchandani will be responsible for business development and forming strategies to grow Smartronix’s cloud computing business in the federal market and focus on Microsoft technologies, Smartronix said Tuesday.
Banks will pursue opportunities related to Smartronix’s partnership with Amazon Web Services as Smartronix was named an AWS Premier Consulting Partner last fall.
Ramchandani has 18 years of technical, business, and program management experience and Banks holds more than 13 years of experience in consulting and business development with Dell (NASDAQ: DELL), Juniper Networks and Deloitte.
“The timing aligns perfectly with the aggressive growth of our cloud computing practice and we anticipate their mix of skills and experience will allow us build on that growth, ” said Joe Gerczak, Smartronix executive vice president and CFO.
“We are continuously looking for key additions to our team across both technical and business disciplines, ” Gerczak added.
Before joining Smartronix, Ramchandani led Optimos’ business and services portfolio and enterprise programs in the federal government.
Banks previously managed IntelliDyne’s cloud computing and cyber security offerings for federal civilian customers.
