SAIC Wins Spot on $140M Pension Agency IT Support IDIQ

SAIC Logo_ExecutiveBizScience Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) has won a position on a potential $140 million contract to provide information technology support services to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp.

SAIC won the first task order under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, worth up to $74 million over one base year and four option years, SAIC said Wednesday.

The McLean, Va.-based contractor joins Salient Federal Solutions as among the awardees of the Infrastructure Operations Services and Support contract (click here for our previous coverage of Salient’s announcement).

Under the contract,  SAIC will provide IT and operations support services intended to help the agency modernize and consolidate the agency’s technical infrastructure for security.

PBGC is responsible for managing retirement incomes of more than 44 million American workers in more than 27, 000 private-sector benefit pension plans, according to SAIC.
