Northrop Selects Curtiss-Wright RF Systems for Navy Program; Tom Quinly Comments

NorthropLogoNorthrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has awarded Curtiss-Wright Controls an initial $1 million contract to supply a digital radio frequency system to the U.S. Navy.

Future contracts for the Navy’s Integrated Topside program could be worth more than $50 million, Curtiss-Wright Controls said Tuesday.

The company will also supply commercial-off-the-shelf single-board computers and modules for the InTop program.I curtiss wright logo_GovConWire

Tom Quinly, Curtiss-Wright Controls president, said the company’s processor modules are intended for open architecture sensor systems.

“We are very excited that Northrop Grumman has chosen our embedded COTS wideband DRFM technology for use in the Navy’s InTop program, ” Quinly said.

The company started shipping the DRFM units during the second quarter of 2012 and will continue the shipments through second quarter 2013.
