Boeing Wins Apache Rotor Blade Contract

BoeingLogo3Boeing (NYSE: BA) has won a $36, 599, 871 contract modification to acquire rotor blades and related equipment for U.S. Army attack helicopters.

The composite blades and equipment are for the block three configuration of the Apache helicopter, the Defense Department said April 12.

Fiscal year 2012 procurement contract funds are covering the firm-fixed-price modification and the Army Contracting Command’s office at Redstone Arsenal, Ala. is the contracting activity.

The company recently won a $1.6 billion sale of Apaches to South Korea, a five-year deal covering 36 helicopters.
