Andrew Rogers, formerly senior vice president for QinetiQ North America‘s survivability product line, has been promoted to executive vice president and general manager of the technology solutions division.

Rogers will lead QNA’s survivability, unmanned systems, power management, sensors and control systems product portfolios, the company said Thursday.

He succeeds Mark Hewitt, who was promoted to EVP and chief strategy officer.

J.D. Crouch, QNA CEO, said Rogers will support the company’s research and development programs for high technology and help develop products for defense, civilian government and commercial customers.

The company credits Rogers with helping develop several of its survivability products and he has also published papers in applied physics, emphasizing acoustics.

He joined QNA in 2005 upon that company’s acquisition of Planning Systems, where he served in positions such as integrated systems director.

Prior to PSI, he served as a senior scientist at Woods Hole Group.
