Kevin McCarter, a vice president and general manager for two CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) markets, has been promoted to president of the company’s central region.
In his new role, McCarter will lead operational, financial and customer experience performance in the territory covering eight states and oversee six market-level VPs and GMs, the company said Thursday.
State markets under his responsibility include Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
McCarter, who held positions at Sprint and Embarq prior to CenturyLink, has served as VP and GM for the company’s central and eastern North Carolina markets since July 2009.
He managed operations and retail sales, product and service installation and repair, marketing and public affairs and led the launch of CenturyLink Prism TV in the state.
