Andrew Summers Named KBR Infrastructure, Govt Group President; William Utt Comments

kbr logo Andrew “Andy” Summers, a former group president at UGL Ltd., has joined KBR (NYSE: KBR) as group president of its infrastructure, government and power business.

Summers will assume the post in early April and report to William Utt, chairman, president and CEO, KBR said Wednesday.

Utt said Summers will provide leadership and vision to business units in the group as it aims to expand its global footprint.

Summers will aim to drive growth in government, infrastructure, minerals, power and industrial markets, the company said.

He joined UGL in 2005 as group president for the rail division and later led the infrastructure group before the two divisions joined together under his leadership in 2010.

Summers received the City of Birmingham Queen’s Silver Jubilee Engineering Award for Excellence in Engineering in 1983 and graduated top honors with an electrical and electronic engineering degree from Aston University a year later.
