VSE Wins $100M Coast Guard Foreign Sales Transfer IDIQ; Maurice Gauthier Comments

VSELogoVSE Corp. (NASDAQ: VSEC) has won a potential $99 million contract to help the U.S. Coast Guard run security assistance projects for the foreign military sales program.

The company’s international group will provide the branch program and technical support services under the potential five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, VSE said Thursday.

“We are extremely proud to be selected for this important Coast Guard program and to further expand our presence in the FMS market place, ” said CEO Maurice Gauthier.

The Coast Guard awarded the contract for its program to acquire, store, reactivate, repair, overhaul, refit, modify, transport and transfer cutters and boats to foreign maritime services.

VSE will provide the Coast Guard financial analysis, engineering, industrial, technical, logistics and transportation, warehouse, supply and training support services.

Harry Flammang, president of the international group, said the company worked with the Coast Guard to transfer 13 cutters and 68 water craft between 1999 and 2007.
