Timothy Harrington Named Northrop Electronic Systems VP, Controller

Timothy Harrington, former vice president and controller for Northrop Grumman‘s (NYSE: NOC) technical services sector, has been appointed to the same position within the electronic systems sector.

His appointment is effective immediately and he will report to Rich Boak, chief financial officer and VP of business management for the electronic systems sector, Northrop said Tuesday.

Harrington moves to the electronic services sector as Jon Remington will succeed him in the same role for the technical services sector (click here for more on Remington’s background and experience).

In his new role, Harrington will oversee functions such as financial planning, reporting and analysis, rates and budgets, government liaison, accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, tax, international finance, program planning, financial control, treasury and risk management.

The 32-year veteran has previously served as business manager for the electronic systems sector’s strategic operations function, as well as the air traffic management and communication systems business areas

He has also served as director of business management for the sector’s international trade and treasury functions.
