Northrop Names 27-Year Raytheon Vet Mary Petryszyn Intl Aerospace VP; Tom Vice Comments

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has appointed 27-year Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) veteran Mary Petryszyn vice president of international business in the aerospace systems sector.

She brings to Northrop defense industry experience in programs such as chemical, biological and radiation detection, maritime surveillance and decision support systems, Northrop said Friday.

Petryszyn will be responsible for building international business in the sector and developing and growing the sector’s programs and products worldwide.

“We see significant growth opportunities in the international market, ” said Tom Vice, corporate vice president and president of aerospace systems. “Mary’s diverse and rich background makes her uniquely qualified to lead our new organization focused on capturing these opportunities.”

At Raytheon, she most recently served as vice president of civil security and response programs in the integrated defense systems business segment.

She led a unit that worked with the departments of Defense and Homeland Security and international customers on surveillance and decision support systems.
