Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) has won a potential $500 million contract modification to provide the U.S. Army radios, support equipment and associated services.
This modification intends to increase the ceiling value of a previously-awarded contract, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
The Army will determine work location with each order under the firm-fixed-price contract.
Work is scheduled to complete by Dec. 15, 2015 and the U.S. Army Contracting Command’s office at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. is the contracting activity.
Each Type 1-certified, software-defined, handheld radio is intended to have multiple radio variants.
