Ed Greer, former deputy assistant defense secretary for development test and evaluation, has joined information technology services provider MIL Corp. as chief operating officer.
He told the Washington Post in an interview published Monday that he joined the Bowie, Md.-based company to help it expand its business in weapons system IT systems.
MIL’s other primary focus areas are financial management systems and C4 engineering (command, control, communications and computers), Greer told Marjorie Censer.
According to the Defense Department, Greer was the first appointee to hold the deputy assistant secretary title for development test and evaluation and was responsible for the DT&E acquisition workforce.
Greer also served as the director of the Pentagon’s Test Resource Management Center and was responsible for planning and assessing the department’s Major Range and Test Facility Base.
