CSC Helping Navy Run Undersea Testing Center

CSClogoComputer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) has won a $17, 267, 243 contract modification to operate a range and test facility base for the U.S. Navy.

The Bahamas-based Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center conducts test and training operations in both deep and shallow water, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

CSC’s applied technologies business unit will help the center schedule and conduct the tests and also provide administer and clerical support for business operations.

CSC will also help maintain facilities, utilities, vehicles and helicopter operations.

Seventy-five percent of work will occur in the Bahamas and the rest in West Palm Beach, Fla. through March 2014.
