AECOMlogoAndrew Peters, a former Parsons Corp. vice president for safety, health and environment, has joined AECOM Technology Corp. as senior vice president and chief safety officer.

The 35-year industry veteran brings experience in managing both direct hire and contractor workforces, AECOM said Monday.

Peters will lead AECOM’s safety, health and environment organization and will be responsible for overseeing safety and loss prevention programs for the company’s projects, consultants, partners and contractors.

John Dionisio, chairman and CEO, said the company is aiming to become a leader in the SH&E sector as it works with clients on infrastructure challenges.

Before joining Parsons, he served as executive VP of administration at Maxim Crane Works, SVP of safety at Dick Corp. and also held leadership positions at the U.S. Steel Mining Company.

AECOM says Peters holds experience in transportation; environmental remediation; pipeline; manufacturing; water and wastewater treatment plants; energy; building; tunneling; and government projects.
