Michael Santelli, former president of information management at USIS, has joined intelligence and investigation support firm Omniplex World Services Corp. as its chief operating officer.
Santelli spent the past few months conducting due diligence and helping California-based private equity firm Altamont Capital Partners complete its acquisition of Omniplex, which finalized in December.
“Partnering with the Altamont Team will allow Omniplex to continue to grow and invest in additional areas inside and adjacent to current core offerings, ” Santelli said.
“The Altamont investment and management objectives and tenets clearly align with the Omniplex operational and cultural foundation.”
Altamont has around $500 million of capital under management and principally invests in middle market companies in a variety of industries, Santelli said.
Founded in 1990, Omniplex executes federal background investigations and provides physical security services to U.S. government and commercial customers.
At USIS, Santelli led a division providing clients litigation support, records management, screening, data entry and mailroom services.
The 13-year investigations and security veteran also served as USIS’ chief financial officer between 2004 and 2006.
He joined USIS in 1999 as corporate accounting manager, where he held responsibility for the company’s accounting and contract activities, and held other finance and accounting positions.
