Raytheon Wins $169M for Navy Zumwalt Destroyer Class Equipment

RaytheonLogoRaytheon (NYSE: RTN) has won a $169 million contract modification to build mission systems equipment for three future U.S. Navy destroyers, the company announced Monday.

The company said it won the contract in its fourth fiscal quarter.

Raytheon will provide the equipment for the USS Zumwalt and two other destroyers in the Zumwalt class, including the USS Michael Monsoor and the USS Lyndon B. Johnson.

Deferred equipment is for the Zumwalt and Monsoor and the non-hatchable equipment is for the Lyndon B. Johnson.

The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems is building a gun system for the Lyndon B. Johnson under an estimated $24 million award.
